Kevekko was born in the Netherlands in 1992, and imported to the United States as a stallion prospect when he was 8 months old. He was chosen on the recommendation of the NA/WPN head inspector, the late Gert van der Veen, for his free shoulder, elastic movement, correct conformation, bloodlines, and outstanding temperament.

Kevekko has won numerous awards, showing remarkable talent for both dressage and jumping. With his intelligence, easy-going manner, and exceptional trainability, Kevekko, like his sire Wellington is an all-around superior sport horse. Wellington, who is a keur stallion himself, is son of the legendary Nimmerdor, who was named Stallion of the Century in the Netherlands. Nimmerdor was invited to the Olympics to jump for the Dutch team in Los Angeles. He is highly ranked on the jumping indexes in Holland, and has more than 30 approved sons worldwide.

Kevekko's dam sire is Zevenster by H Alme Z, who is a world renowned show jumper. H Alme Z is the sire of approved stallions Animo, Ilmeo, Galoubet, and Vico. His offspring have especially impressive show performance results: I Love You as double World Cup winner, Quito de Baussy as European Champion , Quidem de Revel as World Champion, and the well known stallion Jalisco. Wellington's dam is by the famous thoroughbred Lucky Boy who is also Kevekko's great-grandsire in his mother line.
